Avery Lance, the Novice of Affairs for the City of Theramore, is a young human man who works for Magister Fayton. Formerly, he worked for Milton Fry until his untimely death in the warden's office. Avery Lance remembered Turion and Shankz from the aftermath of that event and despite them being cleared as innocent, he remains suspicious. When they showed up to Magister Fayton's office, Lance drugged them with a true-inducing tea and interrogated the two of them and Morgan.
